Along with his wife, Herbert is survived by three sons, Danny Cable of Lizzie Fork, Jimmy Cable of Gilbert, S.C., Tommy Cable of Caney, four daughters, Reba Burke of Dorton, Ky., Patricia Morgan of Caney, Betty Newsome of Caney, Brenda Robinson of Caney, three brothers, Joe Cable of Lexington, Ky., Dave Cable of Dorton, Ky., John Cable of Ohio, four sisters, Jettie Haubauch of Ohio, Lexie Gibson of Lexington, Ky., Goldie Sweeney of Lexington, Ky., Jane Lake of Nicholasville, Ky., eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Graves Jr., former Kentucky State Senator, Kentucky State Representative and Lexington City Commissioner, died peacefully Friday morning, September 11.
Along with his parents, Herbert was preceded in death by his first wife, Geneva Cable, one brother, Charlie Boy Cable, and five sisters, Elizabeth Neilands, Bertha Laws, Dixie Little, Jessie Hostetler, and Cora Cable. Thursday 1st of May 1930 - Friday 11th of September 2020 Joseph C. Lawhorn Cable, a retired coal miner for Sol Mining Company, and a member of the Caney Old Regular Baptist Church.
